Review
The film ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and he has set the stage for the story of the gangster. The film has been made for mass entertainment. However, there has been a lack of action. There is more dialogue than action, it hinders the story. There are big plot twists in the first half which helps in maintaining the momentum for all the characters in the second half. Mahesh Manjrekar has cleverly presented rural and urban Maharashtra. Karan Rawat’s cinematography has shown the steady growth of the city very well. The film has been strengthened by casting popular Marathi actors. Nevertheless, by showing the same struggles again and again in the film, they increase the timing. Along with this, about four songs of the film are tremendous.
Salman Khan is back in his cop avatar and plays the fearless Sardar. It is very easy to portray Salman Khan as a policeman as he tears his shirt and beats up the miscreants. Aayush Sharma is seen with his strong body and tries to make a bonding with Salman Khan. Aayush Sharma has given a long time since his first film. The film featured Aayush Sharma’s (Manda) love chemistry with Mahima Makwana, which is quite monotonous and often stalls the pace of the film. Mahima Makwana has debuted with this film.
Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Antim:
The Final Truth’ entertains as well as tackles the issue of land grabbing by the mafia don. These mafia dons easily manage to break the law as they often mingle with politicians. So if you like old-fashioned Bollywood movies, then you might like this movie. Actually, everything is shown on a large scale in the old Bollywood films. On the other hand, if the fans of Salman Khan and want to see him in police uniform fighting with criminals, then this film is meant for you.
