The four-day Chhath festival began on the Shukla Paksha of Kartik month’s Chaturthi day. This festival has been going on since November 8th. The primary day of the Chhath puja is November 10th, i.e. Today (Wednesday) (Chhath Parv 2021). Fasting women present arghya to the setting sun on this day. Arghya will also be offered to the rising sun on November 11th at sunrise. People from all walks of life are observed engrossed in faith during the primary festival of Chhath. The most important day of the four-day Chhath festival is Shashti Tithi.

The Chhath festival is widely observed in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, among other places. You should pay special attention to a few things on the main day of the Chhath festival. Let’s have a look at what we’ve got.

Do not make these blunders at the Chhath Puja

The primary Chhath fast is observed on the sixth day of the Kartik month. On this day, more attention is paid to cleaning.

When making worship offerings or worshipping, hands should be kept completely clean. Wear clean clothes even after taking a bath or shower.

Keep in mind that you should not present Surya Arghya with plastic, silver, or steel utensils during the Chhath celebration.

Also, keep in mind that the house’s glass and lota should not be used at this period.

It is vital to purify not only the body but also the psyche throughout the fast. As a result, don’t say anything hurtful to anyone on this day, and don’t harbour any grudges against anyone.

On this day, pay special attention to sattvikta. As a result, on this day, refrain from utilising anything in the house that has tamasic properties in any way. Such items should not be kept in the house. Garlic and onion should be left out in the house even during Chhath.

Allowing anyone to make fake offerings before the end of Chhath Puja is prohibited.

Only after presenting Arghya to the Sun on the Saptami Tithi of Kartik Shukla is the fast broken. As a result, no food or drink should be had before to this.
