There is big news for the 10th and 12th students who appeared in the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) October-November 2021 examination. NIOS has changed the format of results to be released for Secondary, Senior Secondary and Vocational examinations. Now the marks-brochures, provisional certificates and permanent certificates that are usually issued to the students will no longer be issued. In their place, students will now be issued a single certificate from the October-November 2021 public examination, in which the details of their marks will also be mentioned.
These details will be included in the certificate
According to the notification issued by NIOS, if the student fulfills the passing criteria, then PASS will be mentioned in the result of his single certificate i.e. Marks Brochure-cum-Certificate. If a student fails, four crosses (XXXX) will be shown in the certificate. Similarly, if a student has already been issued a pass certificate and has appeared in the examination for improvement of marks, the result of his/her NIOS Single Result Document will show ‘Pass Appeared for Improvement’.
