Governor of Rajasthan, Kalraj Mishra, made a significant announcement. He stated that the timing is inconvenient at the moment, but that the farm measure could be brought up again in the future. He made this statement as Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that all three agriculture laws would be repealed.
Kalraj Mishra had travelled to Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, to attend a wedding ceremony, when he told reporters that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was unable to explain to the farmers the three agricultural laws enacted for him, prompting the farmers to continue their sit-in. The government thankfully revoked all three measures after protests continued. He stated that while the timing is not opportune at the moment, the farm measure could be brought up again in the future. In the same breath, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to repeal all three agriculture regulations. He stated that the government has taken a positive stride forward at this time.
