Gautam Gambhir, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), fired a salvo at Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday for referring to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan as his “big brother.”

Gambhir advised Sidhu to send his children to the border before addressing Imran Khan as his big brother.

When asked about Sidhu’s inflammatory remarks following his visit to Pakistan’s Kartarpur Sahib, the BJP MP remarked, “Navjot Singh Sidhu’s children should be sent to the border. Would he have called Imran Khan his big brother at the Kartarpur Sahib if his children were in the army?”

Sidhu, according to Gambhir, does not remark on the deaths of 40 civilians and soldiers in Kashmir in the last month and opposes those who wish to safeguard India.

He said “this is the most heinous statement Sidhu has ever made. He hugs Pakistani Army Chief Qamar Bajwa and visits Kartarpur Sahib, where he refers to Imran Khan as his big brother.”

“In the last month, 40 civilians and troops have been slain in Kashmir, yet he makes no comment. He opposes those who want India to be protected. When Capt. Amarinder Singh expressed his desire to safeguard India and discussed the country, he refused to comply. What could be more humiliating than this? ” he added.

The former cricketer further stated that the country is aware of Sidhu’s political manoeuvrings.

“I hope the country recognises the type of politics he is pursuing. He speaks out against Capt. Amarinder Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi “he stated

When asked about his claim that he doesn’t care what the BJP says, Gambhir responded that the people don’t care what he says, and that he visits Pakistan whenever he has the chance.
