Green hydrogen is the future of alternative fuels, and farmers must participate in its production “to take advantage of the enormous opportunity,” according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who spoke in Nagpur on Friday.
The minister made the remarks during the opening of an exhibition organised by ‘Agrovision,’ of which he is the patron.
He claims that green hydrogen can be generated from biomass, bioorganic waste, and unclean water, and that it can be used to replace coal imports.
“Green hydrogen will power steel mills, tractors, buses, railways, and other enterprises. This is the future, and farmers should generate not just ethanol and bio-LNG, but also green hydrogen to take advantage of the enormous opportunity “Mr. Gadkari stated the following.
He reminded the audience that the Agrovision expo, which features over 40 workshops, has been running for 13 years and attracts over three lakh farmers each year.
Green hydrogen is the name given to hydrogen that is produced exclusively from renewable energy sources, whereas grey hydrogen is created by steam reforming natural gas.
