In 2022-23, the Central Bank of India says it has no plans to close a large number of branches

The state-run Central Bank of India said on Saturday that no decision has been made to close a substantial number of branches this fiscal year.

It is, nonetheless, standard procedure to realign or relocate branches.

“We now inform that no decision has been made as of now to close a substantial number of branches during 2022-23,” the Central Bank of India declared in response to media stories on branch closures.

The bank also stated that realigning, shifting, merging, closing, or opening branches on a regular basis is a typical operation for all banks in order to meet corporate business objectives.

“We assure our esteemed customers and all other stakeholders that their interest is well protected,” it added.
