With Coronavirus infection dropping internationally, with the exception of Europe, and reaching endemic levels in some regions, the focus has switched to Covid tablet treatment. Pfizer announced a partnership on Tuesday that will allow other companies to develop its experimental Covid-19 pill, potentially bringing the treatment to more than half of the world’s population. Pfizer announced that it would licence the antiviral pill to the Geneva-based Medicines Patent Pool, allowing generic medicine companies to manufacture the drug for use in 95 countries, accounting for approximately 53% of the world’s population. The action will bolster the fight against Coronavirus even further.
