A team of specialists at a hospital of Jaipur here removed a tumour weighing around 16.8 kg from a 55-year-old lady in a marathon surgery that lasted over four hours, according to doctors.
They stated the patient, a Jhunjhunu resident, has been suffering from an ovarian tumour for the past three years.
According to Dr. Prashant Sharma, an oncologist at Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital, the tumour gradually grew and began to interfere with daily living, causing the woman to seek treatment five months ago.
He claimed the 23-centimeter tumour was surgically removed from the woman’s stomach in a four-hour procedure.
