In Bharatpur, a 19-year-old was allegedly kidnapped by two men; a cop was suspended for failing to file a FIR

On November 29, two men allegedly abducted and gangraped a 19-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district, according to authorities.

The station house officer (SHO) of a police station in the district has been suspended, according to the police, after it was discovered that he delayed registering a case after the victim arrived at the station on Thursday night.

“The victim stated that the event occurred on November 29 while she and a buddy were driving to college. “The two accused reportedly kidnapped her in the fields and gangraped her,” claimed Bharatpur SP Devendra Kumar Bishnoi.

The victim told local reporters that when she went to the police station to file a report, the SHO didn’t listen to her.

The victim went to the police station on Thursday night, and after the case was not filed, she came to the SP office, according to SP Bishnoi. The FIR was then filed on Friday, according to the police.

“The case was filed yesterday, and the SHO of the police station where the victim first went to file the complaint has been suspended for failing to file the FIR in a timely manner. “More investigation is being carried out, and efforts are being made to apprehend the culprits,” Bishnoi said on Saturday.
