In the previous 24 hours, India has reported 7,081 new COVID-19 cases and 264 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The active caseload in the country is now at 83,913, the lowest level in 570 days.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), active cases account for less than 1% of total cases in the country, with the current figure of 0.24 percent being the lowest since March of last year.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health released a statement saying, “Today, India’s COVID-19 vaccine coverage surpassed the 137 crore mark (137,37,66,189). Until 7 p.m. today, more than 69 lakh (69,21,097) vaccination doses have been administered. With the compilation of the final data for the day by late tonight, the daily vaccination number is projected to rise.”
