In the presence of famous educationists, NIOS commemorates its 32nd Foundation Day

The National Institute of Open Schooling, or NIOS, commemorated its 32nd Foundation Day on Tuesday, November 23 in the presence of several prominent educationists from across the country. Prof. J.S. Rajput, Padmashri, Former Director NCERT, and Former Chairman NCTE, was the Chief Guest of the event.

All former NIOS Chairmen were in attendance, including Prof. M. Mukhopadhyay, Prof. N.K. Ambasht, Shri M.C. Pant, Dr. Sitansu S. Jena, and Prof. C.B. Sharma. Virtually, Father Kunankal and Prof. Mohan B. Menon were also present.

Chairperson Prof. Saroj Sharma presented the welcoming speech at the event and used the opportunity to thank and commend the whole NIOS team on their tireless efforts. She also disclosed that NIOS Virtual Open Schools has launched Tutor Marked Assignments, which are now available online and on-app for Secondary, Senior Secondary, Vocational, and Indian Sign Language students (ISL).

Padmashri Prof. J.S. Rajput, Chief Guest, commended Chairperson Prof. Saroj Sharma on her tireless efforts to bring new ideas to NIOS. In addition, the program’s invited Guests of Honour made an inspiring and motivational address, praising the achievements of each and every NIOS member.

At the ceremony, the Chief Guest launched the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav App’ for NIOS students, and the Chairperson congratulated Vaidehi Vyas, a Bhartiya Gyan Parampara student at NIOS, on her outstanding achievements.
