India criticises Pakistan for exploiting the UNHRC platform to spread “malicious propaganda”

India exposed Pakistan's true nature once more at the world gathering and denounced it for its atrocities against minorities.

India exposed Pakistan’s true nature once more at the world gathering and denounced it for its atrocities against minorities. Additionally, India emphasised Pakistan’s failure to shut down the “terrorism mill” that produces terrorists who “violate the most fundamental of human rights” on its own.

Seema Punjani, First Secretary of India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, criticised Pakistan for lecturing others on “communal disharmony and religious intolerance” during the General Debate of the UN Human Rights Council’s (UNHRC) 51st session in Geneva. “It is strange that Pakistan, a State whose basis was founded on communal ideology speaks of communal disharmony and religious intolerance,” First Secretary Seema Pujani stated.

She went on to say that minorities like Shias, Ahmadiyas, Ismailis, and Hazaras are routinely the targets of sectarian violence and structural discrimination in Pakistan due to the country’s infatuation with puritanism. Hindu, Sikh, and Christian abductions, forced conversions, and marriages are suitable illustrations of Pakistan’s thriving policy of religious intolerance and bigotry, according to Pujani.

‘Pakistan an epicentre of terrorism’: India

Seema Pujani, speaking on behalf of India, exercised her right to respond to Pakistan’s declaration regarding its inappropriate comments regarding Jammu and Kashmir. India’s envoy attacked Pakistan for supporting terrorism, claiming that it had “consistently failed to meet the global demand for dismantling the terrorism mill in Pakistan that churns out terrorists who are responsible for violating the most fundamental of human rights, the right to life,” according to Pujani.

“The truth is that Pakistan has suffered as a result of its own government’s efforts to support terrorist groups. Pakistan has threatened the security of nations in the region and beyond as an epicentre of terrorism “Indian representative remarked.

Seema Pujani also drew attention to the dire circumstances in Baluchistan, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan, claiming that these areas are plagued by enforced disappearances, state violence, mass forced relocations, harassment, extrajudicial killings, army operations, torture, kill-and-dump, torture camps, detention facilities, and military camps. The Indian envoy stated that “nobody knows the fate of thousands of disappeared Baloch and Pashtuns to date.”

The Indian representative further criticised Pakistan for exploiting UN venues to disseminate false information and newly emerging destructive propaganda. India stated that it was time to hold Pakistan accountable and stop allowing them to misuse UN venues to disseminate false information and newly emerging destructive propaganda.
