The report showed that India presently has 96,700 active cases overall. Within a 24-hour period, there was an increase of 2,280 cases in the active COVID-19 caseload.

The country recorded 27 fatalities, bringing the overall death toll to 525047. In the previous day, there were 9486 recoveries across the nation.

A total of 19,21,811 persons have received vaccinations in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s total vaccinations under the national COVID-19 vaccination drive to 1,97,31,43,196.

On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 total had reached 20 lakh, on August 23, it reached 30 lakh, on September 5 it reached 40 lakh, and on September 16 it reached 50 lakh. It exceeded the 60 lakh threshold on September 28, the 70 lakh threshold on October 11, the 80 lakh threshold on October 29, the 90 lakh threshold on November 20, and the 1 crore threshold on December 19.

On May 4, 3, and 25 of last year, the nation passed the depressing milestone of two crore, and on January 25 of this year, it reached three crore.
