An IPS officer was reassigned on Wednesday, despite the fact that it was a public holiday, following Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s displeasure with alleged negligence in the context of recent sexual harassment of girls at a hostel affiliated with a missionary school within tribally-dominated Dindori district’s Junwani village.
The action was taken against SP Sanjay Singh because the teacher and principal who were accused did not have to go through any punishments. In exchange for Mr. SK Sinha, Mr. Singh will take over as AIG at Headquarters.
