Salman Khan, a superstar, described the third installment of his well-known spy series “Tiger” as “hectic” yet enjoyable to work on. Khan and Katrina Kaif will return in “Tiger 3″ as the spies Tiger and Zoya. The action-thriller picture, which will hit theatres around Diwali, recently wrapped up filming, according to the 57-year-old performer. Producing it is Yash Raj Films (YRF).
“I have been here (Abu Dhabi) lots of times. I shot for ‘Race 3’, ‘Partner’, ‘Tiger’. I have completed shooting for ‘Tiger 3′ now. You will get to see it on Diwali. It was a very hectic shoot. It was good though,” Khan remarked at the IIFA press conference on Thursday night.
The first film in the espionage series, “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012), was directed by Kabir Khan and told the tale of an Indian spy (RAW), code-named Tiger (Khan), who falls in love with a Pakistani spy (Kaif), while on an investigation.
Tiger and Zoya were sent on a mission to rescue a group of captives held by a militant terrorist organisation in Iraq in the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed sequel “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017). According to reports, the 2014 kidnapping of Indian nurses by ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) served as the inspiration for the movie.
Maneesh Sharma of “Fan” and “Band Baaja Baaraat” fame is in charge of directing the much-anticipated film’s third installment. It also has Emraan Hashmi in it.
Khan, who has worked in the film industry for more than three decades, also thanked his followers for their unwavering support and love.
“I am thankful for all the love and respect. I appreciate it. I don’t know the reason behind the respect and fan following but it is there and I am thankful to God,” he added.
