V Muraleedharan, Minister of State for the Ministry of External Affairs, was on board a plane carrying the lifeless remains of Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) Pradeep Arakkal from Palam airport to Sulur airfield. In addition, the minister will attend his last rituals in Ponnukkara, Thrissur, Kerala, which would take place in the evening. Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) Pradeep Arakkal of the Indian Air Force died in a helicopter crash near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, on December 8.
JWO Rana Pratap Das, Wing Commander PS Chauhan, and Squadron Leader Kuldeep Singh are among the other defence personnel whose bodies have been discovered. Their bodies were flown from Sulur, Tamil Nadu, to Palam airfield, covered in the Tricolor. Furthermore, the procedure of positively identifying the remaining mortal remains is still on.

Officers who died as a result of the chopper crash
General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of Defense Staff, and his wife Madhulika Rawat were among the Army officers killed in the chopper crash in Tamil Nadu. Brigadier Lakhbinder Singh Lidder, General Bipin Rawat’s defence adviser, and Staff officer Lieutenant Colonel Harjinder Singh. In addition, nine other Armed Forces members, including a helicopter crew, were killed in the incident. On board the chopper were a total of 14 officers and employees. The catastrophic Mi-17V5 helicopter crash claimed the lives of 13 persons. On December 8, it happened near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Varun Singh, the group captain, is the sole survivor. In addition, he is struggling for his life at the IAF command hospital in Bengaluru.
General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), and his wife Madhulika Rawat were cremated with full military honours at the Brar Square crematorium in Delhi on Friday. At the crematorium, 800 military troops attended the military funeral. Kritika and Tarini, their daughters, performed their final rites and will now immerse their ashes at Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
