Man Arrested Over Seizure Of ₹ 4-Crore Heroin

According to an official, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) apprehended a guy from Gujarat on Thursday in connection with the recovery of 700 grammes of heroin worth Rs 4 crore from a cargo building near the Mumbai airport.

He claimed the zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau had got specific information about narcotics smuggling in a parcel at the International Courier Terminal in suburban Mumbai.

As a result, on Monday, Narcotics Control Bureau agents conducted a search at a conference hall in the complex. They discovered 700 grammes of white powder in a packet, purportedly heroin, with a street value of roughly Rs 4 crore, according to the official.

According to him, a complaint was filed under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the parcel’s consignee, Krishna Murari Prasad, a Vadodara resident, was summoned to record his statement at the Narcotics Control Bureau office in Mumbai on Thursday.

Prasad was placed under custody after interrogation, according to the official, who added that the investigation was continuing.
