Mehbooba Mufti claims that the Centre is killing civilians in the name of militancy

Mehbooba Mufti, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the head of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been placed under house arrest at her Srinagar residence, according to sources.

They reported she was planning to take part in a protest in the city’s Press Colony. Earlier in the day, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir protested in Jammu over the alleged massacre of civilians in the Hyderpora encounter.

“I’m demonstrating because this government uses militancy to kill civilians. Nobody knows if there are any militants dead. Three civilians have lately been killed. Despite the families’ demands, the government refuses to deliver them their deceased corpses “Mufti had informed the reporters.

The protest took place in front of the PDP’s office. She alleged that three bystanders were murdered in the clash on Monday. She has also urged that the Hyderpora encounter in Jammu and Kashmir be investigated by the courts.

On November 15, an encounter between security personnel and terrorists erupted in the Hyderpora neighbourhood of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, after authorities received information about the presence of terrorists at an illegal call centre in a private building in the region.

Two terrorists, Haider, a foreign Pakistani terrorist, and his comrade Amir Ahmad, a hybrid terrorist from Banihal, were slain in the encounter, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The search party was also joined by the building’s owner, Altaf Ahmad, and a tenant, Mudasir Ahmad, according to the report. During the encounter with the terrorists, however, both got critical bullet wounds and died as a result of their injuries.
