Missile launched by Pyongyang falls outside of Japan’s exclusive zone: Reports

According to Japanese media reports, North Korea’s alleged ballistic missile landed outside of Japan’s exclusive economic zone on Sunday.

Yonhap news agency in South Korea claimed earlier on Sunday, citing the South Korean military, that Pyongyang tested a ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan.

After the launch, the Japan Coast Guard issued a warning. In reaction to Pyongyang’s latest test-firing, the Japanese prime minister’s office has established a crisis response
According to the NHK network, which cited official sources, the suspected North Korean missile fell outside of Japan’s exclusive economic zone on Sunday.

The latest test comes three days after Pyongyang fired an intercontinental ballistic missile, the Hwansong-17, in retaliation to joint military manoeuvres conducted by the US and South Korea.
