At least 50 criminals committed an audacious smash-and-grab heist at a Los Angeles Nordstrom department store. During the audacious burglary, they were able to escape with approximately $100,000 worth of merchandise. In addition to hoods and masks, the criminal gang used bear spray to assault the security officers.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the thieves targeted the affluent store within Topanga Mall around 4 p.m. on Saturday. They quickly stole costly luggage and apparel before fleeing through the exits.
Commander Giselle Espinoza of the Los Angeles Police Department stated that the flash mob was extremely violent, and authorities are currently working assiduously to locate the robbers.

“We are interviewing people and trying to find leads and strategies to find out who these people are. They are savages,” Ms Espinoza told The Los Angeles Times.
The New York Post reports that surveillance footage captured the pandemonium inside the store as criminals dashed between aisles and destroyed display cases. The thieves toppled over shelving and mannequins before frantically snatching whatever they could carry as employees of the store watched on helplessly.
According to the police department, the criminals used multiple vehicles, including a BMW and a Lexus, to flee.
“To criminals, it is just property taken,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement. “To those who live in the area and patronize the Topanga Mall, it is a loss of feeling safe.”
“The LAPD will exhaust all efforts to bring those responsible into custody and seek criminal prosecution.”
