Musk announces introduction of voice, video chats on Twitter soon

Elon Musk, a billionaire entrepreneur from the United States, announced on Wednesday that Twitter would shortly introduce audio and video conversations, allowing users to contact anyone without supplying a phone number.

“Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number,” Musk tweeted.

Elon Musk completed the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, a US company founded in 2006 and headquartered in San Francisco, California, in October 2022. Following the acquisition, Musk’s policy alterations on the social media platform sparked considerable controversy.
