Priyanka has frequently discussed in interviews how Nick initially contacted her by slipping into her DMs. They soon developed a relationship online, and their love story officially began when they finally met in person in 2017 at a gathering.
During his recent visit on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a fan questioned Nick about the first text he sent to Priyanka. He was also questioned about whether he had ever entered the direct messages of any other females prior to PeeCee. “Life before Priyanka is a distant memory,” Nick retorted in response. It is nonexistent. Nick Jonas took his phone out of his pocket and said, “Let me look. I saved a photo of it.” The crowd let out an ‘aww’. He continued, “I can also go to my DMs, and it’s still there.” Nick read it out to the camera while displaying his phone.
“I said something to the effect of, ‘Hey, I know we have a lot of things in common, friends in common, and I think we should meet’. And she immediately responded, ‘Nice to meet you; let’s get off DM; let’s go to text. My team might be watching’.
He revealed that they soon started texting. “I’m sure there were DMs previously, but the only one that mattered was my wife,” the singer concluded.
