Congress was preparing for a mega rally on December 12 on the issue of inflation in Dwarka area of Delhi. But on Wednesday it was not allowed. Now Congress will hold Remove Inflation Rally in Jaipur on 12th December itself. Congress organization general secretary KC Venugopal said that the Congress, led by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, was going to hold a massive ‘Remove Inflation Rally’ in Delhi on December 12.
Congress sought permission for organizing this rally. After much effort, the government gave permission for the rally in Dwarka. Now when the preparations for the rally were in full swing, the Modi government, putting pressure on the Lieutenant Governor, got the permission to be held in Delhi for the ‘Remove Inflation Rally’ rejected.
The Congress General Secretary said, the arrogant Prime Minister does not want that there should be a mass movement on expensive petrol-diesel, expensive gas-cylinder, expensive cooking oil, expensive pulses and vegetables, and the prices of all things skyrocketing and it should be public that there should be backlash for inflation. Modi government is directly responsible. But we are neither going to bow down nor are we going to be afraid. Now the Congress has decided that the ‘Remove Inflation Rally’ will be organized in Jaipur, Rajasthan on December 12 only.
It is worth noting that on Monday a meeting of the general secretaries of the party was held. The President of the State Congress Committee and other party leaders had participated in this. Apart from this, Punjab CM Charanjit Channi, former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, KC Venugopal and Ajay Maken attended. UP in-charge and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi did not attend this meeting. Let us tell you that on November 14, the party started a two-week public awareness campaign regarding inflation. The party plans to make it an issue in the upcoming UP, Goa, Punjab, Manipur and Uttarakhand elections.
