On the 5-year anniversary of demonetisation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a shot at the BJP-led NDA government, saying that the note-ban was a deliberate step by the government in the interests of its friends, for which the people have received no apology.
“People would have forgiven the government if it had been a mistake,” Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter, “but demonetisation was a purposefully planned step by the government in the interests of its friends for which there is no apology.”
