In an Instagram post, Parineeti Chopra explained how she knew Raghav Chadha, the leader of the AAP, was “the one.” Early this month, Parineeti posted inside photos from the couple’s engagement along with a letter about how their romance developed over breakfast and resulted in a “dream” wedding. The pictures, which the pair had not previously published, feature various members of the future bride’s family, including one in which Priyanka Chopra’s cousin is seen putting tilak on Raghav’s forehead. In another, Parineeti and Raghav are shown alongside her brothers Shivang and Sahaj, while in a third, Parineeti is seen sobbing and holding Raghav.
“When you know, you know. One breakfast together, and I knew—I had met the one. The most wonderful man, whose quiet strength would be calming, peaceful, and inspiring His support, humour, wit, and friendship are pure joy. He is my home. Our engagement party was like living a dream—a dream unfolding beautifully amidst love, laughter, emotion, and loads of dancing! As we hugged those we loved dearest and celebrated with them, emotions overflowed. As a little girl in awe of princess stories, I imagined how my fairytale would begin. Now that it has, it is even better than I had imagined,” Parineeti Chopra stated.
On May 13, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha held a lavish engagement celebration in New Delhi. Along with Priyanka Chopra, a number of political heavy hitters attended the event, including Derek O’Brien of the Trinamool Congress, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann of the AAP, and Congressman P Chidambaram.
