On Sunday, PM Narendra Modi will use video conferencing to distribute the first instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) to more than 1.47 lakh Tripura beneficiaries.
On the occasion, approximately 700 crore will be credited immediately to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Following PM Modi’s intervention, the definition of “kuccha” house was revised expressly for Tripura, taking into account the state’s unique geo-climatic conditions, allowing a significant number of beneficiaries living in “kuccha” houses to receive aid in constructing a “pucca” house, it added.
