Priyanka Gandhi, the Congress party’s national general secretary and leader, has launched a major attack on the Modi government over Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni. The government’s failure to fire Ajay Mishra Teni, he claims, is the clearest proof of his moral bankruptcy. Simultaneously, he has launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ‘Narendra Modi ji, donning religious glasses and religious dress will not disguise the reality that you are supporting a criminal… Ajay Mishra Teni should be sacked and charged under the law,’ Priyanka Gandhi wrote on Twitter.
Opposition parties are building pressure after the revelations made in the SIT investigation
In reality, the SIT team investigating the Lakhimpur violence case found that the incident was well-planned and purposeful, rather than the result of carelessness. Simultaneously, Ashish Mishra, the son of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, is a defendant in this case and is currently incarcerated. After an interrogation, he was arrested by the police. On the other hand, Ajay Mishra Teni alleged that his son Ashish Mishra was not there during the occurrence. Following the SIT investigation’s findings, opposition parties are putting pressure on the federal government to fire Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni.
