Rahul Gandhi publicly claims to rip-apart PM Modi’s image: Smriti Irani

The Bharatiya Janata Party launched a new assault on Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, claiming that it is not the first time the former Congress president has insulted the dalit people.

Irani said, “Congress politicians did not spare even the honourable president, making disrespectful statements about her taking orders from the Gandhi family.”

“The whole country has seen Rahul’s terrible words regarding the OBCs,” Union Minister Smriti Irani remarked during a news conference at the party’s headquarters.

“Rahul Gandhi’s political madness is on full display.” “He has become a compulsive liar, telling falsehoods both at home and abroad,” she said.

Irani’s words come only days after Rahul Gandhi declared during a news conference after his disqualification as a Lok Sabha member, “My name is not Savarkar, my name is Gandhi, and Gandhi does not apologise to anybody.”

The BJP has demanded that Rahul Gandhi apologise for his “Modi surname” comment, for which he was found guilty by a Surat court last week.

The minister further said that Rahul Gandhi has officially stated that he intends to target Narendra Modi and sever his image.

“This is not the first time someone in the Gandhi family has threatened Narendra Modi,” she claims.

Irani said that in order to smear Narendra Modi’s image, Rahul Gandhi lied overseas, in the nation, and in Parliament. “This is the guy who apologises by rubbing his nose in it in front of the Supreme Court and claims now not to be a coward,” she remarked.

Rahul Gandhi apologised unconditionally before the Supreme Court in May 2019 for his “Chowkidar Chor hai” remark on Prime Minister Modi.
