Congress’ Rajasthan state president Govind Singh Dotasra on Monday claimed that Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will be the BJP’s chief ministerial face in the 2023 assembly elections in the state. Dotasara made this claim here, referring to the recent visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Rajasthan.
Poonia was not even allowed to speak
He said that Barmer MP Kailash Chaudhary, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Gulabchand Kataria and BJP State President Satish Poonia were not even given a chance to speak in the programs of Home Minister Shah. Dotasara said, “Not taking local farmer leader and Barmer MP Kailash Chaudhary along and not even giving space to his photo, is a clear indication that Gajendra Singh will be the chief ministerial face of Rajasthan in the coming times.”
Shah did not even take the name of Poonia
He said that Home Minister Shah did not even take the name of BJP state president Satish Poonia during his program in Jaipur, while Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Gulab Chand Kataria did not get a chance to address. According to Dotasra, these incidents are an indication that Shekhawat will be the chief ministerial face of BJP in Rajasthan in the coming times.
It is noteworthy that Home Minister Shah addressed the BJP State Working Committee meeting and later the BJP’s public representatives conference in Jaipur on Sunday. Dotasra had also said on Sunday, “Shah’s visit to Jaipur has been limited to trying to make his friend Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat the face of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming elections.”
