If the Netflix creative team and producer-directors had looked up the definition of Aranyak on Google, they would have discovered that there is no such term. Aranyak is the correct word. The Aranyakas are part of Hinduism’s sacred writings, the Vedas. Aranyak refers to someone who is affiliated with the forest, or aranya. The foreign platform desires a Hindi audience, but it is uninterested in Hindi. The seriousness of this OTT for the Hindi audience is obvious. The second issue is one of content. Candy, a Disney Hotstar Web Series, debuted in September on Disney Hotstar. The spectre of Disney’s web series hangs over the entire Aranyak storey. On OTT platforms, there is clearly a scarcity of creative ideas, and each other’s burglary continues. There is also a positive aspect to OTT platforms in that they have helped the heroes and heroines who have been sitting at home looking for job. However, there is no assurance that the audience will be interested in seeing them.

Raveena Tandon’s OTT debut is Flop

Aranyak marks Raveena Tandon’s OTT debut, and she does not disappoint. Throughout the novel, she rises to become the chief of a fictional police station called Sirona, where she is known as Kasturi Dogra. She is going to embark on a one-year vacation. Kasturi is replaced by Angad Malik (Parambrata Chakraborty). Then, in the region, a foreign girl is murdered. His body is discovered hanging from a tree in the woods. Prior to the murder, he was raped.

Suddenly, news spreads around the area that the male-leopard had returned after a 19-year absence. He had previously done the same thing. Girls are raped and murdered. Is it a myth or a fact that male leopards exist? Aranyak discovers answers to two issues in eight episodes lasting about 40 to 45 minutes each. First and foremost, who and why did the foreign girl die? Second, what is the male-reality? leopard’s

The episode has mistakes

The effects of Aranyak’s disturbances can be seen from the very first episode. The setting is hilly, and the characters’ vernacular has a Haryanvi influence. Kasturi, on the other hand, is using gas to cook her food, and her daughter exits the house, claiming that she would return with wood. Kasturi explains that she and her father-in-law, former police officer Mahadev Dogra (Ashutosh Rana), have a guru-disciple relationship, however the strength of this relationship is not established in any scene.

All of these issues indicate that the creators Ramesh Sippy-Siddharth Roy Kapur and the Netflix crew did not conduct adequate research. Episode following episode, the storey is dragged inexorably forward. Characters that are trapped in their own universe appear one after the other. Aranyak’s characters all appear to be made-up. None of them appear to be at ease. All of them are hyperactive.

A Bad Story

With artificial attempts, the writers have connected the ends of all the characters in the novel. Whether it’s the feud between politician-turned-politician Zakir Hussain and Meghna Malik or the fight between Kasturi and Angad, it appears that the events are staged.

The series continuously brings up the subject of drugs and sex, and the myth of the male-leopard will be debunked, as you will see as soon as the storey begins. To move the plot ahead, the tactic of suspecting each character of rape and murder has been used. It does not, however, have a continuous flow. A character is accused of something and subsequently acquitted. Then it’s the other person’s turn. The tale loosens up as a result of this. Aranyak’s climax is really underwhelming.

Bad Characters

No one, from Raveena Tandon to any other actor, makes an impression here. Raveena is spotted paying more attention to her lipstick despite becoming a police officer. The truth is that Raveena’s acting has a limit, and work in the picture can continue, but not on OTT demanding content. Raveena’s future does not appear to be bright in this situation.

Parambrata Chakraborty is a competent actor, although his performance in this film is unremarkable. Similarly, the director has squandered the ability of actors like Ashutosh Rana, Zakir Hussain, and Meghna Malik in the series. All of them appear to be tale extras. The director has given them each one track to work on while he is away. The intriguing thing is that from beginning to end, all of the characters have the same expression on their faces.
