In addition to metaverse, Deutsche Telekom will work with SK Telecom’s sibling firm SK Square on cybersecurity and the mobile app marketplace.
Security business SK Shieldus and app marketplace operator One Store are both owned by SK Square. According to the corporation, the companies are hoping to join up with couterparts under the Deutsche Telekom umbrella for their respective expansion throughout Europe.
These proposals were addressed at a meeting between SK Telecom and Deutsche Telekom representatives on Thursday at Deutsche Telekom’s headquarters in Bonn, western Germany. SK Square Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho, SK Telecom CEO Ryu Young-sang, Deutsche Telekom CEO Timotheus Hottges, and Claudia Nemat, board member for technology and innovation at Deutsche Telekom, all attended the meeting.
