3. Follow a healthy diet: There is no fixed diet for psoriasis, but eating healthy can uplift your immune system and decrease your chances of getting psoriasis. It can also decrease inflammation if you have psoriasis. Include leafy vegetables, fruits, and protein in your diet. And obviously, avoid sugar or processed foods.
4. Moisturise your skin: Moisturising your skin is a must. It can keep your skin healthy, soft, and supple, and moisturising can prevent psoriasis from spreading. You should also see that the ingredients in your moisturiser must not contain hazardous chemicals that can trigger your psoriasis and spread all over your skin.
So checking the ingredients in your moisturiser is very important.
5. Avoid triggers: There are some things that can trigger your psoriasis and spread it, like alcohol, smoking, and stress. So avoid or restrict these triggers so that your psoriasis will be under control, and you should manage your stress level by talking to experts or your loved ones about it.
6. Hydration is important. You should ensure that you are consuming plenty of water to hydrate yourself. Hydration is very important for the whole body, so drink a sufficient amount of water. It is also important to keep your skin hydrated, especially during the summer season, when dehydration can trigger psoriasis and the chances of spreading it are higher. So it is a must to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water daily to keep your skin hydrated.
7. Use sunscreen: Sunlight or harmful sun rays can trigger your psoriasis, and the chances of spreading psoriasis are higher. So don’t be a fool and go out in the sunlight without using protection like sunscreen. You must ensure that you are using a sunscreen that has SPF 50+ and PA+++, so it will protect you like a shield. So protect your skin and take good care of it, especially during the summer season. You can wear full-length clothes and use hats and sunglasses if possible.
8. Talk to experts: If you are experiencing psoriasis getting worse or more severe, talk to experts or take professional help like a dermatologist or doctor. They can give you the right treatment and recommend good medicines or therapies that can help you reduce inflammation.
