Stocks to Watch on May 15: Adani Group, Tata Motors, DMart, PVR Inox

In accordance with its Asian counterparts, the SGX Nifty is hovering below its opening price on Monday. At 7:35 AM, the index was down approximately 38 points to 18,286.

Aside from Thailand’s election results, the US debt ceiling and disappointing economic data kept investors on edge elsewhere in Asia. The Australian S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.15 percent alongside the South Korean Kospi and Kosdaq, which fell 0.45 percent and 1.69 percent, respectively. However, the Nikkei 225 increased by 0.4%.

At home, wholesale inflation data and fourth-quarter earnings will steer the indexes.

The two Adani Group entities, Adani Enterprises and Adani Transmission, have announced intentions to raise up to Rs 21,000 billion from the market.
While Adani Transmission’s board has authorised a plan to raise up to Rs 8,500 crore via the equity market, the board of Adani Enterprises has approved plans to raise up to Rs 12,500 crore via QIP.

Adani Green Energy has rescheduled its board meeting, originally scheduled for May 13, to May 24, citing “certain exigencies.”

The proposal to raise funds will be discussed and approved at the upcoming board meeting.

Monday will mark the departure of Adani Transmission, Adani Total Gas, and Adani Green from the ASM (Additional Surveillance Measure) framework.

In a tripartite agreement with the Madhya Pradesh government and Sanghi Infrastructure, Birla Corporation’s wholly-owned subsidiary RCCPL Pvt. Ltd. purchased limestone mining rights covering 889.76 hectares in Katni, Madhya Pradesh, for Rs 5,155,49 crore.
Rail Vikas Nigam: A Rail Vikas Nigam-SCC Infrastructure joint venture has been awarded a Rs 2,248.94 crore contract for the planning, design, and construction of the main canal and structures in Rajasthan. RVNL holds a 51% interest in the joint venture.

Vedanta has approved $296 million in capital expenditures for Cairn Oil and Gas operations. In addition, Sonal Shrivastava has been appointed chief financial officer as of June 1, 2023; Navin Agarwal has been appointed as a full-time director from August 1, 2023, to July 31, 2028; and Priya Agarwal has been appointed as a non-executive director from May 17, 2023, to May 16, 2028.
Hero MotoCorp, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has partnered with Motosport SA to sell and service its motorcycles and scooters in Costa Rica.
