Sevai Upma:

Sevai Upma

Sevai Upma is a meal that is both easy and healthful. Vermicelli has no fat, minimal salt, and little cholesterol. This well-known South Indian meal may be prepared in a microwave in a single bowl. The best side dishes for this meal are idli podi, curd and pickle, and peanut chutney.

Method:

  1. Place the vermicelli in a microwave-safe bowl. 
  2. Add oil and mix it all well. 
  3. Stir it after every 30 seconds in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes. When it turns red, stir in some water and cook for a while. 
  4. Continue to microwave the vermicelli for an additional three minutes. 
  5. Mustard seeds, curry leaves, and cumin seeds are added to hot oil in a skillet. 
  6. Along with the vermicelli, mix in the chopped onions, turmeric powder, salt, sugar, peanuts, and green chillies.
  7. It’s time to add some cilantro as a garnish to the dish. 

The meal is prepared and ready to serve. 

2) Microwave Egg Muffin:

In a bowl, break the eggs and whisk them well.

Add finely sliced onions, red and green bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, and chillies. Also, add salt and oil.

Grease the muffin cups before baking.

Omelette batter must be placed into muffin cups until half full to prevent spilling. On top of it, sprinkle some cheese and oregano.

Put it in the microwave for two minutes on high power. Serve after taking it out.

3)Microwave Dhokla:

This Gujarati dish is delicious and very tough to cook.

Method:

Mix the besan with the oil, sugar, salt, turmeric, ginger, and chili pastes. Beat in the curds. Mix until smooth.

After thoroughly mixing, add the water.

Pour immediately into the greased microwavable dish, cover, and cook at HI for 6–8 minutes, rotating the dish once.

Heat the oil for the tadka, then add the rai, kadhi patta, and green chillies. Cook until slightly colored, then add 1 cup of water.

Pour the tadka over the dhokla and cut into desired-sized pieces. Serve garnished with dhania and coconut.

4)Batata Poha:

This Maharashtrian dish is very tasty and quick to make.  

Method:

Wash the poha by placing it in a strainer and holding it under running water.

Drain any extra water, then set it aside.

Mix the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chilies, and curry leaves in a microwave-safe dish and microwave on high for 2 minutes.

Onion and turmeric powder should be thoroughly combined before being microwaved for one minute on high.

Add potatoes and 3 tablespoons of water, then microwave for a few seconds. while frequently stirring.

Add the poha, salt, and sugar, stirring well after each addition, and microwave on high for 2 minutes.

Serve immediately after adding the lemon juice and garnishing with coconut and coriander leaves.

5)Rava Pongal:

The classic South Indian meal Rava ponga is not just a mouthwatering dish. The richness of rava and moong dal is used to make this nutritious breakfast meal.

 Method:

Add the green gram dal to a microwavable dish.

This bowl should be filled with 2 cups of water, and it should cook thoroughly on high for 15 minutes.

Remember to stir after every three minutes.

To prevent leaking, you might also dab some ghee on it.

It is now time to mix in the remaining water and the roasted rava.

After adding the ingredients, microwave the mixture for an additional three to four minutes while stirring every minute.

Add the crushed pepper, salt, ginger, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and roasted cashews to it now.

 In case the Pongal is still wet,

Method:

In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the oil on high for 2 minutes before adding the mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, dried red chilies, and asafoetida powder. 

The dals should get golden brown after 5 minutes on high in the microwave.

Add the minced ginger, curry leaves, slit green chilies, and sliced onions now. 

 Salt and turmeric powder are added to the mixture, and it is cooked once more on high for 10 minutes, stirring every minute.

Add the bread cubes at this point.

Stir after 10 more minutes of cooking on high.
