On Thursday night, March 16th, AS Roma defeated Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 tie. Despite the fact that Roma did not score a single goal, it was a fantastic game. Even though Roma and Real Sociedad tied 0-0 in the second leg, the players were happy as they came out of the tunnel.
AS Roma did score in the opening leg of the round of 16 against Real Sociedad, making the final score 2-0 in Roma’s favor. Jose Mourinho’s team has advanced to the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals.
AS Roma won the UEFA Conference League last season, earning a spot in this year’s Europa League. They will now strive to win this title as well in order to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
