On Wednesday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot remarked that brilliant men like Swami Vivekananda came from the Dharma Sansad discussion in Chicago in 1893, in contrast to the “unruly and wicked” people who emerged from the Uttarakhand discussion.
He stated that the people of the country should decide if a great personality such as Swami Vivekananda or those who speak of riots and genocide are needed.
“Let us imagine a Dharma Sansad in Chicago in 1893, where great men such as Swami Vivekananda arose from the debate. The religious parliaments being convened here are producing unruly and nasty people “In a tweet, Mr Gehlot stated.
He said that no arrests have yet been made in Uttarakhand, making the law and order situation a farce.
“It’s a disgrace that no arrests have been made after more than a week of the contentious Dharma Sansad in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand chief minister feigned ignorance about the subject in an interview with a media outlet, which is unexpected given that he is the minister in charge of the Home Department “he stated
Even artists, journalists, and comedians have been charged with parts of the National Security Act (NSA) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in BJP-ruled states, according to the chief minister, but no arrests have been made in Uttarakhand despite speeches encouraging genocide.
He claimed that work is being done in the name of Dharma Sansad to instigate people to genocide and to insult liberation warriors such as Gandhiji and Nehru.
Participants at the event held at Ved Niketan Dham in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar from December 16 to 19 allegedly made provocative comments inciting violence against Muslims.
