Voting is going on for the election of Panchayat Samiti members in four districts of Rajasthan. The State Election Commission has made elaborate preparations regarding this. Tight security arrangements have been made for the first phase of polling. Also, the focus is being on peaceful and orderly voting process. Regarding this, a spokesperson of the State Election Commission has informed that the voting started at 7.30 am and will continue till 5.30 pm. He said that the commission has made all arrangements for free, fair, peaceful and secure voting.
Panchayat Samiti member elections in four districts
Actually, this election is being held in Baran, Kota, Ganganagar and Karauli districts of Rajasthan. Voting is going on for the first phase of election of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members. In the first phase, voting is being done for 187 wards and their respective Zilla Parishad constituencies.
Preparation for the second phase of elections as well
On the other hand, the date of voting has been fixed on December 15 for the second phase and December 18 for the third phase. Counting of votes for these elections will be held on December 21 at all district headquarters. Similarly, the election of Pradhan or Pramukh will be held on 23 December. Apart from this, the election for the deputy head or deputy chief will be held on December 24. Tight security arrangements have been made by the State Election Commission for these elections. So that there is no scope for any kind of disturbance in the voting process.
