The rumoured message reactions functionality is said to be getting additional iterations from WhatsApp. This has also been seen before, and it appears to allow users to respond to a specific message in a chat. A new reaction info page has been discovered in the works, letting users to quickly check who has reacted to a message. Individual and group chat threads are both said to have message reactions available. WhatsApp’s next feature is expected to allow users to respond to messages with a variety of emoticons.

According to WA Beta Info, WhatsApp is going to add the ability to respond to messages in a future update. This feature is claimed to be in the works, and it may not be included in the most recent beta. While reactions appear underneath the message, there is a separate reaction information tab that allows users to check who has reacted to a message.

A screenshot of the new reaction info tab was given by the tipster. All reactions are presented in the first tab, “All,” followed by WhatsApp groups that reacted to a message using a specific emoji, which are listed in a separate tab. According to WABetaInfo, a user will only be allowed to react to a message once, and reactions will be restricted to six emojis.

The capability was discovered during the development of WhatsApp beta for iOS, but WhatsApp is also rumoured to be working on bringing the same functionality to WhatsApp beta for Android.

WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for Desktop users now have access to a new custom sticker tool that allows them to make stickers from photographs on their computer. This feature is now being rolled out to Mac and PC users. Previously, users had to create their own stickers using third-party apps before uploading them to WhatsApp. There’s no word on when Android and iOS users will be able to download it.
